The cast and crew of Disney Cruise Line are unique in that many of them live and work aboard a ship at sea, and their community consists of the many ports of call they visit throughout the world.

Since setting sail in 1998, the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder have engaged numerous communities across the Bahamas, Caribbean, Mexico and the Mediterranean.  Some of those ports of call are listed below.

  • Nassau, Bahamas
  • St. Thomas, USVI
  • St. Maarten
  • Key West
  • Grand Cayman
  • Cozumel, Mexico
  • Port of Los Angeles
  • Puerto Vallarta
  • Cabo San Lucas
  • Mazatlan
  • Acapulco
  • Panama Canal
  • Barcelona, Spain
  • Civitavecchia, Italy
  • Naples
  • Olbia
  • Marseille, France
  • Villefranche

Our community focus is based on the communities that we visit, now and in the future, but it also includes important areas where we have a permanent business presence.

In 2008, Disney Cruise Line strengthened its relationship with Port Canaveral, Florida, extending its presence there for the next 15 years and agreeing to homeport two new ships there.  The ships are being built in Papenburg, Germany, a community that will become a second home for many Disney Cruise Line cast and crew members as construction continues over the next few years.

We also continue to have a permanent presence in the Bahamas at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay.  A favorite port for guests, the island is a truly unique community in that many of its crew members come from and have families that live in the surrounding Abaco Islands.

As Disney Cruise Line continues to grow, we look forward to supporting the communities of the many ports we visit and assessing their particular needs to determine the best way to have the greatest positive impact.
